Bulk Purchasing Program Starting New Year

CES' Bulk Purchasing Program began accepting requests November 22, but it's still not too late to join in on this money-saving program.

The Bulk Purchasing Program, or BPP, is a bulk bid CES puts out on behalf of all its participants. For example, if 39 schools indicate that collectively they would like 501 blue chairs, CES bids for 501 blue chairs. A bulk bid offers more savings to schools, and all participating schools share in this cost savings. The program is Web-based, and participating schools select the items they would like to order, CES bids those items, and once awards are made, schools can finalize their orders online.

Categories in the Bulk Purchasing Program include:

A - Janitorial

B - Lumber

C - Metal

D - Paper

E - Sporting Goods and Nursing Supplies

F - Office and School Supplies

G - A/V and Library Supplies and Equipment

H - Science Equipment

I - Furniture

J - Hardware

K - Musical Instruments

L - Classroom and Art Supplies

M - Food Service Non-Food Items
