Beginning February 1, 2005, the prices vendors quote CES members will include CES' 1% administrative fee. Currently, vendors quote CES members and the schools add 1% on their purchase order. At CES' Executive Committee meeting in June, the group decided that eventually, vendor quotes should include the 1% fee. Previously, this change was advertised as taking effect January 1, but it has been delayed until February 1. CES receives no state or Federal funds for its operations and only charges its members the 1% administrative fee to cover the costs of operation.
