Applications posted on the New Mexico Regional Educational Applicant Program's Web site continued to increase dramatically, hitting nearly 1,300 active applicants in October. Last October, active applications numbered just over 650, indicating an increase of 100% in just one year. Each blue bar on the chart below demonstrates the progressive increase NMREAP has experienced in the last three years. NMREAP is a service offered by CES whereby schools can find teachers and teachers can find schools. Applicants complete employment applications, which schools can review and match with current openings. Applicants can also search through current job listings and apply for those positions.
